What we are looking for in this mills:

After 30 years in the business, "treating natural things naturally" remains the top priority producing this Grain Mills. Solid Austrian beech wood is used for all the mills described above (except for the Mini-Max).

The inside of the mills: This is where the freshly ground flour first comes into contact with the outside world. And that's why no compromise is made here:

*GRINDING CHAMBER AND FUNNEL MADE OF SOLID WOOD (no multiplex, plastic or metal). One of the reasons why solid wood is used is that the milling chamber is exposed to a high degree of mechanical wear.

*SURFACES treated with pure beeswax oil finish

*MILL STONES made of corund/ceramic according to the latest findings; extremely solid and durable, almost completely abrasion-resistant, self-sharpening.

*FLEXIBLY MOUNTED MILLSTONES help prevent damage during grinding (if there is grit in the grain)

*HEAT INSULATION - 4 cm between motor and grinding chamber prevents heat transmission from motor to flour.

*ONE-HAND COARSE/FINE ADJUSTMENT - extremely simple!

*MOTORS: 300/360-watt specially developed industrial motors - maintenance-free, quiet in operation and trouble-free. Integrated overload protection reliably prevents motor damage.

The masterpiece - with unique GRANITE MILLSTONE

This mill has remained almost unchanged for over 25 years: elegant, timeless and beautiful. It continues to be built according to the ideas of milling in the old tradition - with a millstone made of natural stone. Anybody who has ever used flour from our Salzburger mill knows what they are talking about: baked goods that taste delicious and win you over.

THE GRANITE MILLSTONE: This naturally grown stone is free from binding agents - pure nature - ideal for your health. No little pieces coming off the millstone - your teeth are perfectly safe.

Granite is more solid and hard-wearing than steel!

The granite is extremely abrasion-resistant (definitely no "stone grit" in the flour), hard, self-sharpening and very durable. There are 30 year-old millstones that are still producing absolutely top-quality flour!

Each pair of stones is unique and extremely environment-friendly.

CASING: Since 2005 solid, hard beech wood is being used for the casing of our MT 5 mill. The casing of the MT 12 and MT 18 continues to be made from plywood (no multiplex!).

 FUNNEL AND GRINDING CHAMBER of all models are made of solid wood, and the flour outlet is wood-covered on the inside. We make sure that the only material with which the freshly ground flour comes into contact is wood.

COARSE/FINE ADJUSTMENT: The MT 5 mill is equipped with the well-tried, easy to handle ONE-HAND coarse/fine adjustment.

The MT 12 and MT 18 continue to be made with the extremely robust steel thread adjustment.

THE MOTOR: The special-grade industrial motor is a real bundle of energy. With better winding protection, longer sheet pack and overload protection it guarantees a long, maintenance-free life.

There is a 10-year guarantee on the millstone in case of breakage and little stone pieces breaking off.
